ABOUT RAM

Reigning American Miss strives to give all girls the opportunity to represent their title with excellence. Queens are expected to keep the motto of RAM when representing the crown and everyday life. RAM is dedicated to serving each other, the community, and the nation!

Is there a contract?

Yes and no! Neither the national delegates nor the national queens are restricted with competing in other systems or holding titles, however, there are specific duties the national queens must perform to hold that title. RAM queens cannot compete in another pageant that would require them to give up their RAM title before the following years national pageant. Things like community service, appearances, and returning for the following year's national pageant are included in the national queen contract, for more information please see the "Queen Expectations" page in our handbook.

Who can compete?

Anyone! There is an age group that will work for you! The only requirement is that you compete in the age group you are the day of nationals, and you uphold the ideals and vision of RAM! We have a Sweetheart group for ages 0-3 and our national pageant for ages 4+, including married women and/or mothers! Our system is open to natural born females that also must identify as female for all age groups.

How many contestants are there?

At RAM, you are more than just a number. We cap each of our age groups for nationals to 12 contestants each & sweetheart to 10 contestants each. This allows for a stress-free weekend and a place to truly take your pageant skills to the next level without the stress or cost of a huge national. Spots are secured with your deposit then MONTHLY payments must be made to keep your spot. For more information, please visit our handbook.

How much does it cost?

Nationals cost will be one flat rate of $495 including your state crown & sash, ad page, program book, RAM Swag Bag, chaperone ticket for the entire weekend, OM flyers, and your national finalist trophy that everyone receives at the welcome party! Anything else you would like to do for pageant weekend is optional! Please see handbook for fees in detail! Sweetheart entry fee is $100 plus optionals or an appointed title, which is not required to enter! Optionals are judged by a separate panel of judges so there is NO pressure to compete in optionals, there are many FREE optionals open to all contestants.

Do I need professional training or expensive clothes to win?

No! You can wear whatever you love best as long as it follows the guidelines for that area of competition. The most important part of whatever you wear is how it fits so make sure everything has a great professional fit! We do not allow bare midriffs for any age (with the exception of Fun Fitness), older contestants may have a slit but it should be age-appropriate!
